Execution Mode
ODB can be used in:
- Local mode
- Client Server mode
Local Mode
Local mode is used when one want to run ODB as an embedded database. In this case, ODB runs within the application and there is no need to start an ODB server. This is the easiest and fastest way to execute ODB. In this mode, the database will be used by a single user.
Client Server Mode
Client Server mode allows multiple remote connections to single database. In this mode, an ODB server must be started to accept client connections.
Have a look at the client server page for more details.
